I love it! It cracks me up, though I kind of wish Chase had his hand bitten off when he pet it or something.

The Ubues were one of the reasons this module was recalled by TSR. The executives didn't like the concept of mixing male and female in one monster, and some of the other Ubue drawings were deemed as not fit for kids (who had become a much larger part of TSR's customers). You have to remember that this was in 1981, TSR was dealing with the "Satanic Panic", and criticism of sexuality in images in some of the D&D and AD&D books. Also, the artist wasn't really too smart about this, he drew some of the executive's faces on the Ubues. For example, in the drawing I just sent, the left male head is clearly Gary Gygax. (edited)

Alright, back in business with my personal laptop - birthday present, got a new (to me) one! I've transferred files across, this'll be easier for me to keep on top of now... I'm just going to assume everyone else followed Chase back to the other door you haven't checked yet.

This encounter was also a reason this module was recalled. It very much doesn't fit TSR's attempt to make D&D more family friendly

Yes, not a blinding light, more a revealing light like a lamp or torch

And I'm not sure we figured out the bows we found. Whoops. Krislee may be knocked out this round. Her HP are 3. Good times!

Wirlt and Hagar each have a bow, and Chase has a crossbow. You might have to negotiate with one of them to see if they’ll toss them to you so you can shoot little ugly men from a distance

BTW, here is what I have for hit points for everyone: Weert 2/9 Hagar 7/12 Chase 2/11 Wirlt 1/9 Krislee 6/11 Leng 9/9 Shadow the Panther ?-5/? (you have no idea what her max hit points are) You are seriously hurting. And Leng has no more spells today, so he can't heal anyone. It is 1:10pm. You don't have any other method to heal, besides a night's rest. Although you did have someone hint earlier about a way to be magically healed.

You may want to use Discord's Search function, it makes it easier to look back and see what was said about towers and healing

I just zoomed out on the map for you - note that you have the Ubues backed into a corner - there is no other way for them to leave except through you

The black and white drawing is another one of those that caused this module to be banned/recalled. Apparently each of the heads and some of the people depicted in the paintings were TSR executives. For example, the top left Ubue head is clearly Gary Gygax. Also, mixing of genders, and where some of the heads are looking didn't help either.

We’ll if I had DM’d this properly, I would have only given the ESP spell info to @scigrrl and not to everyone. But given your character Leng has a background with these two NPCs, I figured he would have some sort of reaction, not knowing what Krislee knows

So excited!

After a 3 hour struggle to shovel snow off the pool cover without using snow shovels, the pool cover actually opened. I was worried for a while, this is heavy stuff. It was too heavy for the cover motor. But we are good to go now!

From my search, you last cast it at the Kobold on the first day. You're on Day 2 at 4:10pm now, so you could attempt it. Remember that Catharandamus will have a chance to roll a Save vs. Spells.
